The story continued from where Wicked Fox left off and focused on resolving what happened there. I loved that it was so rich and the book was peppered with Korean words and phrases which added so much to the story. What drew me to these books from the beginning was the mythology. I’m hoping we learn more about him eventually. I do wish we had seen more of Hyuk and his story in this one. I also enjoyed reading about everyone’s growth and development as friends. It was nice to see Miyoung and Jihoon closer in this one. I was hoping she would get what she deserved at the end. She was also always willing to sacrifice so much for the people she cared about. Junu was one of my favorite characters in Wicked Fox, and I loved learning about his past and following him more closely in this one. I finished this book having loved Somin and Junu. Well, I finished having loved everyone a little more than I already did. I did feel like it dragged in some places but I enjoyed reading this one regardless. Every moment reminded me of that and I just can’t help thinking about how these books would be perfect as a k-drama. I mostly adore how it played like a k-drama in my head. This book was super addicting! I loved every minute of it.

At first I was a little worried about continuing the story but from different points of view than the first book. I was so happy and excited to be sent this gifted copy and I finally picked it up a few days ago. Wicked Fox was one of my favorite reads of last year. In Vicious Spirits, Kat Cho delivers another beguiling and addictive listen full of otherworldly dangers and romance.A huge thank you to Penguin Random House International for the gifted finished copy! In usual fashion, Somin may have a thing or two to say about that. With few options remaining, Junu has an idea but it might require the ultimate sacrifice. The only way to repair the breach is to find the missing fox bead or for Miyoung to pay with her life. The loss of Miyoung's fox bead has caused a tear between the world of the living and the world of the dead, and ghosts are suddenly flooding the streets of Seoul. But as the two try to figure out what could be between them, they discover their troubles aren't over after all. Somin couldn't deny the heat of their attraction. Junu was, at first, amused by her hostility toward him until he found himself inexplicably drawn to her. Somin thought he was an arrogant, self-serving conman. Somin and Junu didn't exactly hit it off when they first met.

The only one who seems ready to move forward is their not-so-favorite dokkaebi, Junu. But Jihoon is still grieving the loss of his grandmother, and Miyoung is distant as she grieves over her mother's death and learns to live without her fox bead. Īfter the events of Wicked Fox, Somin is ready to help her friends pick up the pieces of their broken lives and heal. New romance and dangers abound in this companion to the crowd-pleasing Wicked Fox.
