But the fact that there may be a very short-term expiration date makes them all rethink their choices - and those of others - with a variety of interactions, some touching and some pretty horrifying. The story follows a countdown to the projected asteroid strike, and switches between the viewpoints of the main characters, each of whom could have been a stereotypical teen-movie archtype: the jock, the slut, the brain, etc. It's about several teens whose plans get dramatically altered when an asteroid heads for Earth. I found this slightly-battered hardcover in this Little Free Library in Cambridge MA while dropping off some books of my own, and nabbed it for another release copy.
