I’m not bailing on this ship… I’m just fingers crossed that some spice that drew us all in at the beginning makes a return and ignites some characters ho-hum personalities. Brie doesn’t know ALL of his secrets, so I don’t understand why Lily is still living. Now an innocent nuns life hangs in the balance for what ? Brie would never have to know he killed her & she would be forever safe …. Rytstar… well for someone so sadistic and blood thirsty why he hasn’t just snapped Lilys neck blows my mind. Mary needs to take a long holiday to Siberia & personally take out Lily and then stay there. How has she remained unscarred when others have lost limbs and wear scars and other war wounds proudly ? I get you can’t ‘see’ psychological !!įaelan needs some good luck and some happiness. The beginning of the book had so much promise, a kidnapping that I thought Brie was really going to struggle to get out of… but as usual, she’s rescued out of nowhere physically unscathed. Maybe recreating the collar ceremony exchange would have added some heat !! Though I must admit Baron getting touchy feely was a lovely surprise.

Like Faelan losing his mind for a moment and going to town on Brie ( which ultimately they both enjoyed ) instead of a subtle feather. Maybe a shocking mix up could have ignited some sizzle …. Of course it was great to see other old friends pop in even if their exchanges with Brie were subtle. It’s become ‘out of character’ for him to act like that. The only sizzle that came out of nowhere was a quickie before the parents arrived and that shocked me that Sir did that. I understand that characters grow and evolve … but these two are turning into a typical suburban couple. Sir ( as much as it pains me to admit ) has gone soft and the sexy Dom has clearly gone holidaying in Ibiza !! Even his way with words is starting to get 🤮, and therefore Bries character is changing too. What used to be a spicy series that you read in the privacy of your home where you could squeeze your thighs together, now can be read on a crowded train knowing people are looking over your shoulder. Which is perfectly fine considering how many books have made the series and what an amazing journey we’ve all been on with Brie. I don’t know if the author is realising there’s not too much left in this series going forward …. It pains me to only give this 3 stars, but I have to be truthful. This is what the last book promised ….I still have my breath and what fireworks !!!!!
